Blogmas Day 14: I've Never Met Santa!

December 14, 2017

As a kid during Christmas time it's a common tradition that your parents, grandparents, siblings or guardians will take you to see "Santa" sitting in a supermarket, a shopping mall, a Christmas store or a particular event. This is something I've never experienced because I never really got into the whole Santa Claus thing, probably because my dad told me when I was really little that Santa wasn't real and that him and my mum got my gifts for me (thanks Dad).
The Santa snowglobe my nana gave me as a kid
After this I never got excited to see a guy dressed up as Santa with his elves or reindeer posing with him, I never asked to sit on his lap or tell him what I wanted for Christmas I just saw him as a guy doing a good job to make kids happy. According to my mum she arranged for her friends husband to surprise my brother when he was little by "getting caught" putting presents under the tree and I have no idea if he believed it or not but after my dad spilled the beans there would have been no point trying that with me.

Despite that I still have a huge love for all things Christmas related and I find it adorable when kids line up to see the bearded gift giver, seeing their eyes light up and seeing them so excited makes me smile and even though I never had that in my childhood it makes me hope that my children at least get it until they grow out of it.
The Santa Claus on my Santa sack is extremely sweet! My mother stitched my name on it when she was pregnant with me.
Have you ever met Santa? Can you remember what it was like if you did? Am I the only one who never experienced this? Let me know! Thanks for reading and I will see you all again tomorrow with Blogmas Day 15: A Lush Christmas bath bomb review!
